If you'd like to know a little bit about who's behind the camera, then you've come to the right place!
Stephanie is the founder of Stem Photography, but she couldn't have done it without her right hand man and husband, Neil. Steph and Neil are a photography duo based out of Ottawa. Steph has always loved to take pictures, starting back in elementary school with her basic film camera used to capture friends and family. What started out as a hobby has developed into a real passion and desire to capture all life's moments, be it a milestone birthday party or every girls dream - the wedding day. Neil also shared an interest in photography before meeting Steph. He got his start while traveling abroad and has brought tons of enthusiasm and technical experience to the team.

Steph received her first DSLR camera from her parents in 2008 and with Neil's support and perseverance to see her excel, they have expanded their gear substantially . It became almost an addiction for the two to take a trip to Henry's and come home with something new.

How did we end up with this website and a growing portfolio you may ask? Practice, practice, practice and a lot of volunteer work. In addition to building our own business, we also photograph for a local Ottawa newspaper called SNAP, Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest and many other Ottawa events and fundraisers.
